The Response: A NATIONAL Call for Prayer

Interesting, this actually happened in Haiti shortly after the Earthquake. They canceled the Mardi Gras celebrations to instead have 3 days of fasting and prayer. [Video Link]

The goal is to fill 62,000 seat Reliant Stadium on August 6 and more in thousands of churches across America

AFA is encouraging Christians across the nation to join in a national day of prayer for our nation. Gov. Rick Perry of Texas has proclaimed Saturday, Aug. 6th, as a Day of Prayer and Fasting to seek God's guidance and wisdom in addressing the challenges that face our communities, states and nation. He has invited governors across the country to join him on Aug. 6 to participate in The Response, a non-denominational, apolitical, Christian prayer meeting hosted by the American Family Association at 62,000 seat Reliant Stadium in Houston. Gov. Perry also urged fellow governors to issue similar proclamations encouraging their constituents to pray that day for unity and righteousness for our states, nation and mankind.

Gov. Sam Brownback of Kansas has indicated that he will participate. Other governors, including Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and Haley Barbour of Mississippi, are considering participation. Gov. Paul LePage of Maine has issued a proclamation.

Dangerous Indoctrination in Schools

I received this message last week from a concerned family member. Please pass on to other parents so they can call their schools to make sure this is not going on without their consent.

Pro-Life Video Contest Winner

The Manhattan Declaration announced the winner of the Pro-life Video Contest on Facebook and Twitter accounts. The three top winners offer the pro-life community a remarkable testimony with three different approaches to the abortion issue.

1st place videoThe 1st place winner, Ryan Brooks, submitted a video that reminds us that no matter what the law says or what the culture does, we still have the power of prayer to combat abortion in our country.

2nd place videoThe 2nd place winner, Brian Fisher, provides a wonderful testimony of how social medias (Twitter, Facebook, blogs, etc) give the pro-life community new ways to change peoples lives. He gives a personal account of how a ministry he works with did just that.

3rd place videoThe 3rd place winner, submitted by Brian Barkley, gives interview accounts of women who had abortions and describe what their experience was like. The testimony of these real-life examples will no doubt give us all a renewed vigor to end the evil practice of abortion.

The Rosa Acuna Project

A college run website has been posting videos of the real truth behind the doors the sickening, disgusting, greedy, manipulative and tax-funded abortion agency called Planned Parenthood. This is one of many videos. I'm mad and I think there can be a positive response by replacing this horrible entity with something much better. Such as organizations that teach the benefits of abstinence, the joy of parenting and children, the blessing of purity in relationships, and the absolute honor of adoption. God Bless!
